Welcome to Datoro ("we," "us," or "our"). Datoro is an intelligent document processing platform that helps businesses ingest, extract, and manage information from their documents. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of the personal information you share with us.

2. Information We Collect
Account Information. When you create a Datoro account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form — we never store plaintext passwords).
Uploaded Documents and File Contents. Datoro's core function is to process documents on your behalf. When you upload files to the platform, we collect and store the contents of those files, including any text, data, or metadata they contain. Documents are retained in your account for as long as your subscription is active or until you choose to delete them.
Usage and Analytics Data. We automatically collect information about how you interact with Datoro, including pages and features used, processing job logs, browser type, operating system, IP address, and session timestamps. This data is used to operate and improve the platform.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Datoro platform
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account
- Process and extract information from your uploaded documents
- Send transactional communications such as billing receipts and account alerts
- Diagnose technical issues and improve platform performance

4. Your Documents and AI Processing
Datoro uses automated processing, including AI-assisted extraction, to analyze your uploaded documents. Your documents and extracted data are never used to train, fine-tune, or otherwise improve our AI or machine learning models. Your documents are your data, full stop.
5. Third-Party Services
We share limited personal data with the following trusted service provider:
Stripe (Payment Processing). We use Stripe to process subscription payments. When you provide billing information, it is transmitted directly to Stripe and governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. Datoro does not store your full credit card number or payment card details on our servers.
We do not currently share your data with any other third-party processors.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information and uploaded documents for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your access continues through the end of your paid period. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the address below.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. These include encrypted data transmission (TLS), encrypted storage of sensitive data, and network-level isolation of our infrastructure. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
